SIA: the Changing Agenda
Baroness Ruth Henig gave her first address to the security industry at the SIA: the Changing Agenda Conference on the 9th May 2007. She discussed her vision for the future of the SIA. Other prominent speakers included David Dickinson (BSIA), Bruce George (House of Commons), Brian Kingham (Reliance), Richard Childs (Community Safety Consultancy), Peter Davies (ACPO), Martin Gill (Perpetuity) as well as Andy Drane and Robin Dahlberg of the SIA.
The welcoming speech was given by Professor Bob Burgess, University Vice Chancellor who said that Perpetuity was an example 'spin-out' not just for the University of Leicester, but also for the University sector. He praised the work of staff and highlighted the influential studies they had undertaken.

The conference took place at the Law Society on the 8th March 2007. Speakers includes Professor Martin Gill (Perpetuity), Frank Stajano (University of Cambridge), Steve Wilmot (City of London Police), Jonathan Wood (Head of Dispute Resolution at Clyde & Co), Alec Richmond (President of the Insitute of Internal Auditors UK and Ireland) as well as a number of ex-fraudsters. |
